FracMan7 is a specialized modeling and analysis tool for characterizing fractured rock masses using discrete fracture network (DFN) methods. It enables geoscientists and engineers to build realistic 3D fracture models from field and borehole data, calibrate them to measurements, and evaluate network geometry, connectivity, flow, and transport behavior. The software supports both deterministic and stochastic fracture representations, interactive 3D visualization and statistics, and scenario-based studies to quantify uncertainty.
Typical applications include groundwater flow and solute transport in fractured media, assessment of stress- and aperture-dependent behavior, and decision support for well performance, grouting strategies, mine and tunnel design, geothermal stimulation, contaminant migration, and repository safety. FracMan7 also offers data import/export for common geoscience formats and can integrate with external solvers to support end-to-end subsurface workflows.
FracMan7 is developed by Golder Associates, Inc.. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 7.0, 7.1, 7.7 and 7.9. The names of program executable files are FracMan.exe, FracManx64.exe.
